Peterson, George - AK Territorial Guard

George Edward Peterson, Lt., was born 13 Aug 1903 at Atka, Alaska, he was the son of William and Martha Peterson. George attended school at the Jesse Lee Home in Seward, Alaska.  He married Anne.

George joined the Alaska Territorial Guard in 1942 to serve in the Aleutian Campaign during World War II.  He was officially discharged 21 March 1947.  

When George was registered for World War II, he was employed by Alaska Packer Association.  He was a big game hunter and guide on the Aleutian Peninsula.  He was also a commerical fisherman.
