Rodgers, Raymond Jr. - U.S. Navy 

Unga, Alaska

Raymond R. Rodgers, Jr. E-2, joined the U.S Navy.  His parents were Raymond Sr. and Esther (Lauritzen) Rodgers.  He lived in Unga and Seward, Alaska, where he attended elementry school and high school.

Raymond was in the Alaska National Guard from 7 Oct 1957 to 9 Oct 1958, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1958.  Raymond attended boot camp at Naval Training Center in San Diego, California and went to electrical training at Naval Center Great Lakes.  He was discharged from the Navy in 1962.

After discharge, Raymond worked as an electrician in Alaska and then began a commerical fishing career, owning and managing a fish site in Cook Inlet on Salamatof Beach on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska.


Status:  still fishing, Going Strong
