Uttecht, Michael Sr. - U.S. Army

Cold Bay, Alaska

Michael Rudolph Uttecht was born 6 Aug 1916, his parents were Mike and Zenia (Bendixson) Uttecht.  He married Ethel Dobson.

Michael joined the U.S. Army 22 Dec 1941, he completed boot camp in Anchorage, Alaska.  He worked for combat intelligence during World War II and was stationed in Cold Bay, Attu Island, King Cove, Thin Point, and Izembek Lagoon, Alaska.  Michael was discharged from service in 1947. 

He was a hunting guide and commerical fisherman, he owned and captained fishing vessels Abalone and Susan.


Status: deceased, Feb 1987
