Carlson, Carl G. - U.S. Army

Carl Gustave Carlson, Pvt., was born 26 Apr 1923, his parents were August and Nelle Carlson.  He married Marina Ludvick. 

Carl first joined the Alaska Territorial Guard in 1942 during the World War II Aleutain Campaign.  He joined the U.S Army 20 Jan 1945.  He was discharged from the Army 30 Oct 1946 and was officially discharged from the Alaska Territorial Guard 21 March 1947.  

Carl was a lifelong commercial fisherman in the Shumagin Islands and Aleutian Peninsula, he owned and captained the fishing vessels Norse Maid, Fairweather, GMJ and Julie C.  

Status:  deceased, 4 Jul 1980
