Moses, Carl E. -  U.S. Army

Carl E. Moses, Cpl, was born 16 July 1929 in California.  His parents were Lewis Sr and Olga (Carlson) Moses.  He married Laresa.

Carl joined the Alaska Territorial Guard in 1942 at the age of 13, he in the Aleutian Campaign during World War II.  He was officially discharged 21 Mar 1947.  Carl joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and was stationed at Ft. Richardson, AK, he was discharged in 1953.  

Carl was a commerical fisherman. He was also owner of general merchandise stores at Sanak, King Cove, Unalaska, and Sand Point, all communities in the Shumagin and Aleutian Islands.  A small boat harbor in Unalaska is named for him in honor of his 50 years of service to the Aleutian Region.
